PCC STARS, Scholars Transitioning and Realizing Success, is a support program established through Pasadena City College to assist foster youth with enrolling in and completing college.
The program has expanded to include a partnership with Pasadena Unified School District in creating resource centers on-site at the local schools. Our mission is to foster a sense of community while
building students' potential.
Volunteer opportunities
On-going Needs
Volunteers at the STARS centers in middle or high school (30 minutes to one hour shifts) to assist students either one-on-one or in small groups as they participate in structured activities such as cooking, character and career exploration;
Items to equip kitchens.
One-time needs:
Guest speakers on careers;
Helpers for Thanksgiving and Christmas events.
